The Sony Ericsson z520a was one of the most popular flip phones of it's time, it was easy to use and affordable, and showcased some of Sony Ericsson's most important features in an attractive package. The z525a is the successor to the z520a, and carries the torch into a new generation of Ericsson cell phones. Released in late 06, this phone offers many features that you have com to expect from an ericsson phone. The intuitive flip design is easy to use and is familiar to anyone who has used a flip phone, or clamshell phone, before. The screen is located on the top panel with the keypad on the bottom, in a standard flip phone layout. The phone features bluetooth functionality, so you can still use wireless headsets and other accessories. It also features a VGA camera that can zoom up to 4x, and records videos. Finally, photo sharing is easy with Sony Ericsson's QuickShare application. There is a front LCD to show who is calling and their info, plus other information such as time, signal strength and date. On top of this, lights around the phone allow you to set custom lighting effects for each person in your phone book. The phone supports MP3 ringtones, and plays them clearly with it's 40-chord polyphonic sound engine. Push to talk allows you to contact multiple people at once, and the speakerphone lets you hold conference calls and other multi user calls. Last but not least, MMS messaging lets you share pictures, animations and ringtones.
